   I am an older man, and for all of my life I have envied those who can master two languages, not to even mention three.

   Some say it takes a specific kind of gift, and I for one am ready to concede that point.

   Translation is even harder, espcially if one is doing it in a live negotiation.

   And, there are so many words in each language that have no equivalent in the other. To be able to be creative and get the meaning across anyway with the proper nuances is one of the greatest and most creative things a person can do with his or her life.
